It's important to limit acid-forming foods in your diet because the decreased pH in the body means higher acidity meaning higher stress leading to bad bad things! Especially if anyone is trying to lose weight, stress on the adrenal glands, could most certainly mean weight GAIN. Check this chart out though, it's interesting to see which foods (even super healthy foods) can increase acidity. It doesn't mean don't eat them, but limit them!
