I created this for my breakfast this morning and it's pretty much heaven in my mouth! Mixed between a smoothie, pudding, oatmeal, and fruit, this layered masterpiece is quite wonderful! Unfortunately, the pics didn't turn out as cool as I wanted them to because of the dang cup I used, but I can try making it again and upload new pics the next time! There are three parts to this, so I'll break this up!
"Oatmeal" Layer:
-a sweet, vanilla addition (like vanilla icecream on top of a slice of pumpkin pie ;) )-
Instructions: This calls for making overnight oats. So, combine .25 cup of oatmeal with .75 cup of almond or coconut milk. In the morning, add 1tsp of vanilla, a few sprinkles of cinnamon, and voila! You've got your layer!
Ingredients:
- 1tbsp chia seeds
- .5cup water
- 1tbsp raw cacao
- 1tsp maca powder
- 1tsp agave
- let the chia seeds soak in the water for 15 minutes so they can soak up the water
- mix in the other ingredients and make this the BOTTOM layer, for it's the heaviest one
-tastes like pumpkin pie in a cup-
Ingredients:
- 1tsp raw, skinned ginger
- .5tsp cinnamon
- sprinkle of nutmeg
- 1 small banana
- (optional 1 tbsp hemp protein powder)
- .5cup pureed pumpkin (I used canned pumpkin but fresh would be awesome when it's that season!)
- .5tbsp molasses
Then all you need is blueberries and you just layer them. What I did, it's hard to see in the picture, but I did pudding on bottom, then blueberries, oatmeal, pumpkin pie smoothie, blueberries, then the rest of the pumpkin smoothie...and it pretty much rocked! Yum!
